Talking Points

* I think Hamas sucks, but this show looks amazing.

* In case you were wondering, this is my new favorite blog. 44 below C?? What the hell is that??

* Almost forgot: Check out Cat Tyc's Feverfew video at Film Archive tonight, 7 PM.

* Now the Pope's talking about what I want to hear! Eros v. Agape! Something to help me ponder my own emerging sexual/spiritiual crisis. Pontificate away pontiff. I lend you my ears. Don't disappoint me like you did last time (Gay men can't be priests? You got some kind of like robot in the works?). I am still that little altar boy (I was so cute, how could I not have been raped by priests? I was like the only one who wasn't!) I still want to believe. And smell that incense.

* OK, even more shocking than the fact that zero women were nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry, Kirkus Reviews has never bothered to review ANY OF THE NOMINEES. Look, ma! No links! Didn't Siken win the Yale Younger? I think that might deserve a micro-review, at least. We're not asking for the cover. Just a seat at the table. I sat at the sewing machine for my first 16 Thanksgivings. That sucked.

* Colletti tonight at the Project (8:30). Bill Corbett tomorrow at Cue (7). Glenum, Mark, Pafunda et. all at 4-Faced Sat (2), Jessica Smith and Joanna Sondheim at Bookcourt Sat (7:30)...

* By the way: somebody compare the design and quality of Pafunda and Knox's and Benka's Soft Skull books and compare them to like Todd Colby's Soft Skull book. Is it just me? Like paper was nicer, cut was nicer, etc...I love kicking Soft Skull, but what's up?

* As Peppers goes, so go the Panthers. Although a groggy Alexander? Tough call here.
