Al-Jimzeera Talking Points

* It's Katy's last day. Which sucks for us, because without her we're screwed.

* Showtime might rescude Arrested Development. And then they could swear!

* Rovewatch: Indict him already!!

* Sign the petition: Bring back Nomar.

* Bargle hubble dangle doo: Bob Dylan is going to be an XM DJ.

* Dail F for Fanboy: Check out the X-Men 3 teaser (I have a woody).

* Tim is rallying. If you haven't already, vote now for
Jimmy.

* Happy Birthday, David Vogen.

* To Halt Abuses, U.S. Will Inspect Jails Run by Iraq says the NYTimes. They will be inspected by Lyndie England! This jail is thumbs-up, everyone! I know we should all thank god for every day we live in Bizzaroworld (Thanks, Ohio) but what's the issue here? Are they not abusing people correctly? When those 1000s of prisoner abuse photos do get released (right in time for the holidays) then the Iraqis will know how it's done!

* KING KONG review forthcoming. I think I said the word "wow" or "whoa" 50 times.

* I don't like Ron's dig at Chaisson: "...makes you think he must still be an undergraduate." Don't make me get all "Fuck Yr Heroes" here. Ron vents bitterness at young poets (paging Jeff Clark) for being on big presses. Has Ron sent a manuscript to Deborah Garrison? Why don't you get yourselves some stamps, pal. Dan's in his 30s, he teaches undergraduates. It's a bitter dig that's beneath Ron, based only on age. Wasn't he just bitching about how Jurassic the National Book Award nominees were?
